Impairment of the lymphatic system will lead to excess toxicity, inflammation, fluid accumulation, immune system weakness, and delayed healing from injuries or surgery.
Do you suffer from any of the following?
Inflammation, Allergy Problems, Headaches, Eczema, Chronic Illness, Chronic Pain,
Edema, Excess Water, Retention Muscle/Tendon Strain, Soft Tissue Injuries Cellulite, Lymphedema, Breast Tenderness, Fibrocystic Breasts, Lyme Disease, Chronic Infections, Autoimmune Disease, Heart Disease
ALT can help with these and much more!
ALT is a gentle, light touch non-invasive technique used to stimulate the proper flow and drainage of the lymphatic system. It helps to stimulate the flow by causing the dissociation of proteins that have become trapped in the interstitium. When trapped proteins release their bond, the stagnant lymph is freed and will flow out into its normal filtration and reabsorption channels. The main function of the lymphatic system is detoxification. Lymph fluid is mixed with other cellular elements. Along the path of the lymphatic vessels are lymphatic nodes. When the fluid reaches these nodes, infections, alien proteins, and other foreign materials are destroyed, helping to detoxify and cleanse your body.
According to research, most overweight people have sluggish lymphatic systems. Congested lymph can lead to weight gain and the formation of cellulite because backed up fluid sticks to fat cells causing cellulite.
Assisted Lymphatic Therapy helps break up congested lymph and allow it to flow properly.
By promoting good lymph flow, ALT strengthens your body’s immune system and its ability to better deal with allergens. When one suffers from allergies, the body’s immune system goes into high gear as it overreacts to pollen, mold spores or other foreign body invaders. ALT equips the body’s defense system to react properly and it is a deeply relaxing experience, which leaves you feeling refreshed, clear-headed and well rested ALT also can help relieve sinus pressure as it pulls fluid down from your head.
The lymphatic system is your body’s primary defense against bacteria, virus and fungus and is primarily responsible for your immune function. The whole immune function is compromised if the lymphatic system is congested.
Signs of an impaired lymphatic system may include frequent colds or flu, sinus problems, lymphedema, heart disease, fibrocystic breasts, cellulite, enlarged prostate and/or cancer. Fortunately, even severe impairment of lymphatic health can be restored with lymphatic decongestive therapy.
Frequent Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT) sessions can detoxify your bodily tissues and remove pathogens.
Chronic diseases often occur at the sight of lymph nodes. For men, the inguinal nodes in the crease of the groin are the primary channel for release of accumulated toxins from the prostate. For women, the axillary nodes in the armpit are the primary channel for releasing accumulated toxins from the breasts. Most people aren’t aware that compromised cells are constantly circulating through our body and that a healthy lymphatic system is one of our body’s primary defenders against chronic illness When the lymphatic system is congested, compromised cells have the perfect environment to propagate.
The lymphatic system plays a vital role in the body’s immunity to diseases. It is a complex network of fluid-filled tubes that continuously bathe our cells and carry away the body’s waste – to filters called lymph nodes, where harmful substances are trapped and then neutralized. The body contains three times more lymph fluid than blood however, while blood has the heart to keep it pumping, lymph must be pumped by the movement of our muscles (or deep deep breathing). The less we move, the more stagnant the lymphatic system becomes.
Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT) can assist your body’s natural process of eliminating compromised cells. It supports preventive maintenance as well as boosting the immune system after cancer treatment. Frequent ALT sessions –
Chronic illness prevention and treatment, lymphatic drainage, assisted lymphatic therapy.
Preparing for Surgery
Just two Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT) sessions prior to your liposuction, tummy tuck or other elective surgical procedures can expedite your healing and significantly reduce swelling immediately following the procedure. Speeding up both your recovery and the appearance of desired results from your procedure.
Liposuction
When your body experiences what it perceives as a trauma, your immune system starts healing and repairing itself, resulting in swelling of the injured area. Unfortunately, your immune system does not know the difference between an injury and a surgical procedure like liposuction, so it reacts in the same way. In addition to being rather unsightly and obscuring your results, swelling following your liposuction can also be uncomfortable.
Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT) can reduce the swelling and lumpiness you may experience after your liposuction procedure by moving the lymphatic fluid from the surgical area so that it can drain properly instead of obscuring your liposuction results. ALT accelerates both the healing process and the appearance of results.
Tummy Tuck
Following a tummy tuck or any other procedure, many people experience post-surgical lymphedema, the medical name for the swelling and bruising that takes place after any surgery. While lymphedema is the body’s normal response to any trauma, the swelling can mask the results of your tummy tuck and can potential cause significant discomfort.
One of the most effective ways to treat post-surgical lymphedema following a tummy tuck is with Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT). ALT will improve your appearance and increase your comfort level after your tummy tuck, making the results of the tummy tuck more immediately apparent. Additionally, ALT will also make it clear more quickly whether further surgery is necessary or if your tummy tuck has allowed you to achieve your desired goals.
